Socially distanced but in your own home!
Bayshore, LI, May 2020
May is Mental Health Awareness month, and not a moment too soon, as many of us are wondering, when we are getting out of here? A community arts center in the heart of Bay Shore, Long Island is meeting the challenge and fighting the boredom of sheltering-in-place with an engaging array of virtual community classes. Always free to the public and always welcoming and inclusive, Teatro Yerbabruja has recruited an international team of artists to create and showcase art for all.
Teatro Yerbabruja provides classes on Body Awareness, Dance, Karate, Freestyle Art, Art Therapy, Gentle Yoga [All Levels Welcome!] and rounds up the week with a relaxing Open Social Circle evening or a slamming Open Mic Showcase! Teatro Yerbabruja has already hosted 72 arts and wellness classes in six weeks and will continue to positively impact the community during this difficult time. By promoting cultural enrichment and human connection, the diverse community of Teatro YerbaBruja does it all, bringing it home to you. Join the community!

Teatro Yerbabruja and the Second Avenue Fire House Gallery are committed to the well being of the community and are taking steps to ensure safety. We will close our Bay Shore location until further notice. During this time Teatro Yerbabruja is working virtually with artists across the world on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Zoom to continue creating and showcasing art! Join us and stay connected for our upcoming web chats, online open mics, virtual classes and more!
